Paper and Piecings: Free Patterns

Posted: July 28th, 2009 by Jean

It’s been a busy week for Chip.  He’s been out in boat to see the icebergs, been to the Dinner Theatre where he laughed until his tummy hurt, and saw the giant festival parade. His favorite ‘float’ was the little red wagon holding two adorable babies - one a toddler dressed as a chef and the other an infant dressed as a lobster and stuffed into a big cooking pot. Too cute! His favorite characters were two pretty little girls and a very handsome little boy all dressed up Sherlock Holmes style with capes and caps and very large eyeglasses and even bigger magnifying glasses. Chip decided right then that next year he would dress up for the parade too!  No, Chip didn’t dress for the parade, but he did dress for his outing on the water. He always does. Chip’s PFD will add just the right ’splash’ to layouts that take place on or near the water. Chip’s Mom says you should create a splash wherever you go, but always, always, safety first!

If you haven’t signed up yet to receive Chip and our free weekly patterns, why not hop on over to www.paperandpiecings.com and do that today. Our free pattern for Chip’s lifejacket and accessories will be emailed to our subscribers in just a couple days.

And if you are  out on the water today, stay safe and wear your life jacket!

More Just Be-Claws

Posted: July 27th, 2009 by Jean

Still fooling around with the just be-claws stamp. I did manage to post another pattern to www.paperandpiecings.com but I am having way too much fun with this stamp set. There are so many great cards posted online and I’ve cased a couple though can’t remember where I saw them. Think I did a search on splitcoaststampers.com.

Just Be Claws

Posted: July 25th, 2009 by Jean

Purchased the Gina K stamp set just be-claws directly from her website and though I love this set, I’m going to have to look for another outlet. What with the exchange rate, shipping and duty, this was one pricey set - a heck of a lot more than the 19.95 tag. Pity. The Gina K stamps are super nice. As is her website. What a great resource for stampers and scrappers. Check it out at:

I love these cards though I have to admit I cased these from some I saw online. Definitely making more with this set.

Daughter-in-law needed a card for a baby shower and put a couple together this morning. Used a Hero Arts stamp set for baby boys.
