Lots of birthdays this weekend. Love the Magnolia stamps and still just playing around with the Copic markers and learning how to shade and such.
This one was for an adorable little girl who just turned two. Instead of your regular card, made a little pocket photo album. Mom can tuck birthday party photos into this one. Can’t remember if it holds six or eight photos but it’s a cute little ‘theme’ album.
And one for a little boy. A bit of glare going on here. Need a new camera!
Love the Lego in the background. Reminds me of my grandson, Max, who has just recently moved away with Mom and Dad. I still haven’t put his toys away. Don’t think I will!

Put together these for an upcoming Christmas card swap and quite pleased with the end result. I think they’re lovely….. and easy to do. I’ve very little experience with embossing but these were whipped up in no time - perfect, as I have to do thirty. I used the StampinÚp Elegant Eggplant from the Rich Regals family and the brushed gold cardstock as a matte for Dasher, stamped and embossed on Vanilla White. The gold is a little pricey at just over a dollar a sheet (8-1/2 x 11) but I’m using only a 3 x 3-1/2 gold matte for each card so I’m getting six cards per sheet.

Paper and Piecings is looking for guest designers for the months of September, October, November and December. Our designers will create pages using patterns created and sold by paperandpiecings.com. We expect our designers to use our patterns to create generic pages that inspire customers and convince them that they too can create beautiful layouts. We will be accepting applications from now until August 31st, 2009. If you enjoy scrapbooking and are eager to try the craft of paper piecing, please apply.
As our designer, you will be asked to:
1. Create two double-page scrapbook layouts per month using patterns from paperandpiecings.com.
2. Create one paper craft per month using our free “Chip” downloads.
3. Provide quality scans/photographs of your work to be showcased in the paperandpiecings.com gallery. Photographs of layouts should also include detailed shots of our paper pieced embellishments and include a brief write-up on your project that can be used in our blog.
4. Help promote paperandpiecings.com on message boards, facebook, etc. by posting your
creations in online scrapbooking galleries to help increase exposure to our site.
5. Link to paperandpiecings.com from your personal blog.
6. Design for us for a four month period beginning on September 1, 2009.
As our designer, you will receive:
1. A minimum of four free patterns per month while you are designing for paperandpiecings.com.
2. A great opportunity to showcase your design abilities and build your portfolio for other design opportunities.
To apply:
Please send an email containing the following information to justscraps.ca@gmail.com
1. Name
2. Address
3. Email
4. Blog or website address
5. Links to any online galleries you have
6. List of related forums/message boards that you participate in
7. Please tell us if you are on any other design teams
8. Please tell us a little about yourself, what you like about scrapbooking and why you would
like to be a Paper and Piecings design team member.
While we ask for links to online galleries and forums you participate in, you need not have any prior experience to design for Paper and Piecings . What we are really looking for is someone who loves to scrap and loves to play with paper!
Look forward to hearing from you!

Have decided to give e -bay a try and will no longer be selling premade scrapbook pages through this site. Will still post my layouts here but have decided that from a marketing perspective, e-bay is the much better place to sell and promote the new online pattern store: paperandpiecings.com.

Scoot on over to Scrappin’ Great Deals to check out their monthly kit and how three very talented ladies - Sarah, Margaret, and Tracy - put their spin on this so versatile kit. Absolutely love the paper in this month’s kit.
