Christmas Tags - Digi Stamps

Posted: September 30th, 2009 by Jean

Here are a couple more digi stamps from Dustin Pike. Pictures were taken with my NEW camera - and in poor lighting. No trouble taking the pictures - I wanted a dummy proof point and click - but the software for uploading, editing, etc. was giving me a little grief - or so I thought. I really didn’t want to have to read - lol - but didn’t take too too long to figure out the size of the images I was trying to upload was waaaay toooo big. So I changed the camera setting. And took more pictures - couldn’t figure out how to change the size of those I’d already taken.

Seem to be a mixed reaction to digital stamps from what I read online but I think they’re great.

Digital Stamps

Posted: September 27th, 2009 by Jean

Thought this week I would check out digital stamps so of course did a search for ‘freebies’.  By far my favorite were the digis at Dustin Pike’s site, http://dustinpike.blogspot.com. All of these I made using free digis from Dustin - and my Copics, of course. For sure I will be visiting his site often. Prices are MORE than reasonable at $1.00 a download.

Happy Halloween!

Love the little bear in these Naughty or Nice cards. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background with snowflakes.

Love these digis - for sure this is a site I’ll be visiting often. Be sure to check it out. Think I may use these Santas to make tags.  Perhaps I’ll cut them out and put them under a tree. We’ll see.

Now . . . . . . . back to what I should really be doing today.

Christmas Swap

Posted: September 27th, 2009 by Jean

I recently participated in a couple Stampin’ Up swaps - one for Christmas cards and two for tags. Here are some of the tags and cards I received in exchange for those I sent off. Gorgeous!

The whole point of these exchanges - for me anyway - is to get ideas and I loved this card done by Katherine Fiander, a Stampin’ Up demonstrator in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. I copied her card - didn’t have the shimmer paint and the only Christmas sentiment I had that would fit is just a little less than perfect, but still pleased with result. Thanks Katherine!
