Computer-savvy me, in my attempts to insert Mr. Linky for a card challenge, lost all my widgets. My Followers are gone - scattered to the four winds. I’ve reinserted the widget right at the top of my sidebar. Please come back! I miss you!

Here’s the challenge! To play along you have to make a boy card or scrapbook layout featuring one of those movers or shakers (or something) little boys - and big - seem to love. You can piece it, you can stamp it, you can color it. Post it on your blog - along with detailed instructions - and leave a link to your project using the Mr. Linky form at the bottom of this post. Mr. Linky will close on Sunday, March 7th.
To make this a little more fun, I’m offering this 3 layer clear stamp set Cutie from Stampology. If I can’t figure out how to do a random number draw before the 7th, I’ll simply throw your names in a bag!

Here’s a little inspiration from Paper and Piecings to get you started.

I’ve been trying to get a Mr. Linky into a post so I can host a little challenge here but instead just lost all my widgets - not a huge big deal but I did like the counter. I’m not sure WordPress supports Mr. Linky so I have asked my ‘tech guy’ to check it out ( in others words, number one son) So tonight’s card is for my boy. Thank you son - you are the chocolate chip in my cookie! And thanks to Mo Manning for this cute digital freebie.

One of Max’s favorite things to do when he visits is to grab his Great-Grandmother’s magnifying glass and go searching for clues. “It’s a mystery,” he says. He will look for anything but quite often it is GiGi’s cane which she seems to lose everytime she puts it down. This little image by Mo Manning reminds me of Max. I colored it up and stuck it to a card. I will send him a little note this week. He loves getting mail!

Had a dusting of snow last night and winter is not going anywhere soon but was still fun to make these happy little cards. Found the inspiration on Jackie’s blog, http://www.jackiescreativepapercrafts.blogspot.com/. These little beauties will make cute birthday cards though I haven’t yet stamped the inside panel.
Used Stampin Up cardstock Chocolate Chip and Really Rust for the pots, scraps of cardstock and DP for the flowers. Also used the Stampin’ Up punches on this one. The scallop border was perfect for the edging on the pot, the one-inch circle and scallop circle perfect for the flowers. Used the small oval to shape out the leaves. Aren’t these darling!
That’s if for this morning. Have to pack up the car with treats for Max and face a two hour drive now to visit with my grandchildren. It seems such a distance yet I know there are so many grandparents whose families live half way across the country. We are blessed.

Don’t have any facebook savvy so I’m introducing my new grandson here. Born this morning at 10:59, a.m., Sam weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and is 19-1/2 inches long. He is adorable. Poppy and I took Max in to see the new baby. We stopped at the hospital gift shop for a little something for Sam and my suggestion that little babies might prefer soft cuddly toys was given less than zero consideration. Max picked up a white dinkie for Sam, a yellow one for himself. Soft toys indeed! Brothers look out to brothers. And here are my boys - all three!

I’ve had my blog for a year and a half now - wish I’d put a counter on right from day one - and though I use it faithfully - if somewhat sporadically - and am mostly pleased with the layout and content - I am ever blown away by the oh so beautiful blogs I come across on a daily basis. Three of my scrapping buddies have just recently joined the blogging community and if you happen to stop here - be sure you visit their blogs as well. They are three incredibly talented and creative ladies and I look forward to following their work.

Another of Mo Manning’s digital images - Jack and Ginger. Love this couple and quite pleased with how the coloring and the card look. Turned this one into a Valentine for my sweetie. “Grow old along with me. The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. “Not sure DH will agree with Robert Browning but think he’ll be amused by the image - we’ve been feeling our years lately!

Here are a few cards I made with this stamp set from Stampin’Up. I think the baby shower tags are really cute. My daughter-in-law goes to lots of showers and for sure she’ll use these. I’ll do a set in blue as well.

The monkey lollipops I’ve been making for my grandson for ages now - trying to use up the Halloween lollipops. I’ve been using the monkey image simply because I love monkeys! And it just happens that with the heart these are perfect little Valentines. Max is so funny - if I don’t have any of these around and he wants a lollipop, we have to stamp the monkey, punch the paper, and stick it all together before he will take the lolli. He refuses to have one unless it’s decorated!

Did this card for a very special friend whose granddaughter is turning ten. What a lovely age. No longer a little girl - not quite a teenager. Hence the name of the image, Between - another of Mo Manning’s free downloads when you join her group at Paper Craft Planet. Most of you have probably been doing this forever, but I just caught on to picking out my paper before I color my images and it makes it so much easier to pull a card together. Thanks to whoever stated the obvious on her blog. Unfortunately, the obvious is sometimes understated.
