Card I made a little while back. Perfect to attach to a gift basket for a house warming. And why would I be thinking of house warmings? lol - Still looking for that camera! Inside sentiment I typed on my computer and it reads “Congratulations on your new pad”. Pattern for paper pieced frog is available at www.paperandpiecings.com.

My apologies to those of you who are playing along with this fortnight’s challenge at Just Scraps. My family is on the move - three families, three new homes. And I can’t find my camera. I know it’s not packed - so I’m thinking it’s under something - and believe me, there are many things it can be under. So I’ve no pictures posted of the work I’ve done for New Beginnings and no picture of the blog candy. I’ll keep looking and hopefully will get something up here before this challenge ends and the new one begins. In the meantime, be sure to play along anyway. Our last little bit of blog candy is on its way to Scotland - that is so cool! - and while I’ve misplaced my camera, all my scrapping supplies - candy included - are already moved and stored neatly in the new craft room.

Today I saw my first robin - and I am reminded that spring is just around the corner. The snow is fast disappearing and I wonder if winter is truly over or if the lovely sunny days of late are just a hiccup in our usual winter/spring weather pattern. How we all long for green grass, crocuses, dandelions and trees bursting with green. New beginnings, I thought, that will be our next challenge.
Lots of new beginnings in my little corner of the world. Number one son is moving into a new home. My Mom is moving into a new home and I am moving into a new home. My younger brother is retiring after a lengthy career with the public service. My sister-in-law is also retiring and both are moving halfway across the country to come to roost here in Twillingate, Newfoundland. DH has bought a cabin cruiser - his retirement vessel - and is eagerly anticipating its first launch. My older brother and his wife are coaxing along tiny seedlings; they are planting hundreds of annuals, hoping their garden will be awash with color for their daughter’s July wedding. Sam is five weeks old, bright eyed and alert, soaking up the sights and sounds that circle him. And Max is out of diapers - almost. :) Easter is just two weeks away. New beginnings.
Too broad a challenge, my sister says. Better make it new beginnings in pastel colors - kind of funny as neither of us would pull pastels as a first color choice. So there you have it - for Just Scraps third challenge: New Beginnings in Pastels. But . . . let’s take it a step further. I know that for a lot of bloggers, it’s not just about the latest card or layout. It’s also about writing or ‘blogging’ about that creative process. So show us your card or layout - and then tell us about the new beginning that inspired you.
You have until April 5th to leave a link to your project using the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post. Mr. Linky will close on Sunday, April 5th.
Have a great day and congrats to Sharon of Bonkers About Buttons who won our little bit of blog candy this week. Two little stamps will be on their way to Sharon as soon as I get her snail mail.

And for the 5th, well, I’m hoping to double the participants and to that end plan on having a bit of blog candy doubly delicious. Will post later in the week!
Will also get pictures of my cards up later. I’ve been baby-sitting today and got nowhere near the craft room to take photos. I will hopefully post tomorrow.
(Note to Marilyn - Hi Marilyn, deleted your link under Mr. Linky because you had linked to my site rather than yours. Please try again. Can’t wait to see your card!)
