Just Scraps Challenge 2: Black and White and Red all over
Congratulations to Lori who won our first challenge. Mom pulled Lori’s number out of a hat (actually a bowl) and as soon as Lori sends me her snail mail address, her blog candy is on the way. This week another wee package to motivate - these two little rubber stamps: Wild for You and … yes, … no, … maybe so
Here’s this week’s challenge at Just Scraps. (Our second challenge! Hurray! Perhaps we can double our participants - lol - wouldn’t that be so cool!) This time you have to use black and white and red all over. I love this combo - it can look dramatic, elegant, funky - pretty much anything - you name it! No wonder it’s a favorite! Here are a couple of cards I made this weekend to help jumpstart your creative juices. Also posted a couple I finished quite a while back. The Lobster card is totally CASED but so fits this challenge I had to post it here again. My compliments to the chef, whoever you are. After seeing this card online I went out and bought the just be-claws stamp set! Also want to thank Lori again, not only for participating, but for pointing me to Marjie’s Malarkies at http://marjiesmalarkies.blogspot.com where I found this gorgeous image of the Lady in the Hat. The A is for Apple card - hmmm - I really have to start organizing all the little scraps I have lying around my desk. Scraps of cardstock, yes! Scraps of notes - not so good! The sock monkey is a digital stamp I purchased at Whimsie Doodles.
Can’t wait to see what turns up this week - card or layout - and will continue with the black, white and red myself for the next few days. You have until March 21st to leave a link to your project using the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post. Mr. Linky will close on Sunday, March 21st.
And here is Mr. Linky!

Hey thanks for the comment on my blog. I kinda cheated with this challenge because I already had the card made, but where else could I post a red/white/black card, and it’s coffee too!

This was fun! I love to wait until the last minute and then wonder what to do! Not really, I just didn’t have time to finish the card–had the sketch prepared in advance!
You are so good at coloring - what product do you use?

Thanks for the compliment Sharon but think it’s more the product than me - I use Copics - am slowly building up a nice stash - they are terribly expensive but are every bit as good as their reputation. Thanks for playing along! Your card is lovely. Be sure to check out our next challenge tomorrow.
