Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Guess I won’t be the only one having leftovers today. I can see the menu for the next few days already: turkey sandwiches, turkey casserole, turkey soup. Took both boys to church yesterday and they were as good as gold. The older had his dinkies and the younger had his nap. Here they are after supper, playing with Sam’s Christmas gifts - it’s okay - Sam won’t remember anyway.

Am headed off to a Stampin’ Up Convention in St. John’s Newfoundland this coming weekend - first time ever to something like this - and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been preparing cards to swap but being a newbie I’m uncertain as to how mine will measure up. I had the baby cards, then I did the gingerbread cards and now I’m working on these. My sister Jackie is going along as a guest and she’s been preparing cards as well. Can’t wait to see you Jack!

Spent a few minutes this evening tidying away in the loft. I’ve been working on cards for a couple swaps and had quite the mess on my desk. In tucking things away - and there’s always a fair bit of tucking as space is ever an issue - I pushed this to one side and that to another and wondered, ” How much of this stuff do I really need?” All of it!
I love collecting stamps - especially those from the dollar bin. The cheaper the stamp, the easier it is to justify the purchase and the fact that you already have a bunch still in plastic doesn’t really matter now, does it?
So that’s the challenge this week. You have to use one of your bargain stamps! Be sure to tell us how much - or how little - you paid for this little treasure. Look forward to seeing your cards. I’m hoping to use some of my little gems too.
Congratulations to Hazel who won the blog candy for Challenge #20 Round and Red. Email me with your snail mail address, Hazel, at justscraps.ca@gmail.com and I’ll get a little something in the mail to you. Thanks for playing along.
Partridge berries are very much like cranberries, I think, Susan. They make great jam - my favorite - and if you don’t have cranberries for your turkey dinner - the partridgeberries are just as good if not better! We picked a few more today.
Be sure to sign on with Mr. Linky below. Mr. Linky closes again in two weeks, Sunday, October 17th, at which time I’ll draw for a little candy.
Have a great week!

Hello October - and where did you come from? The older I get, the faster time seems to fly and as to where September went, I have no idea. I do know I’ve done very little with my paper crafts. I finished off and mailed tags for a Christmas swap - received a package of gorgeous tags in return - and I’m finishing off cards that have to go in the mail in a couple days to make the next swap as well as preparing for another swap on the 16th. I do believe things will begin to slow down now - September is always hectic - and hopefully I’ll be able to post a little more. I kept the ’round and red’ challenge in mind when I made these cards - aren’t they cute with their round, red, and rosy cheeks? I’m aiming for fifty and I’m halfway there.
