Clean and Simple

Here’s another birthday card using the digi Rock Chick from KennyK’s Glam Gang series. Not much fuss and bother on this one - like the clean lines.

Here’s another Clean and Simple - this one was a gift from my Scrapping buddy Kelley over at Creative Dwy. Thanks Kelley - this one is a real beauty!

And finally - just because - here’s the Frog. Got this freebie ages ago over at Pollycraft and have to admit he’s a favorite. Right into the square cards lately and thought I’d give Froggy a spot here.

Aren’t these photos so much better than my ususal fare? Dear DIL is kindly doing my photos for me and she’s great with a camera.

Have a lovely evening - looks like we have yet more snow coming in so think I’ll get cosy on the couch with my coloring.

Cheers!

Mojo Monday 175 Double Double

Posted: January 24th, 2011 by Jean

Finally we have snow - lots and lots of snow - 30 cm since last  night and winds gusting up to 100. DH suspects they were higher. Thought I might spend the day in the loft but it was so so windy, we were a little concerned about the wood stove. Instead I dragged a couple bags of goodies down into the house and after all day, this is the one card I finished. Two boxes of stuff for one card - go figure. I`ll put up a better picture tomorrow - the lighting right now is not great but I so like the card, have to post it right away. Another digi, Troublemaker, this time from KennyK. He has some really cute images. Isn`t she a doll?  The sentiment for this one I typed on computer - inside reads It`s her birthday. Used the Mojo Monday Sketch 175.

Greek International

Posted: January 23rd, 2011 by Jean

Last night we met at a friend’s home for our monthly dinner club. This month’s International was Greek and what a fabulous evening. Great food; great company. We sat to dine just past six and finished the last course after ten. Fakes  to begin - then ouzo - Dolmadakia with calamari and Spanakopita - more ouzo - Souvlaki - a little more ouzo - Lamb with potatos for the main meal - think I opted out on the Ouzo this time - and Rizogalo for dessert.  Opa!!!

Before supper, however, did get a chance to finish off a few cards. The Happy Birthday is a CASE from a lady I met at a StampinUP weekend retreat. A nice masculine card. Clean and simple. I like this stamp.

The Valentine card uses a digital image from Make It Crafty. This particular image is called Geeky Love and I’ve colored up half a dozen of these with my Copics:  E00, 11, R20, R27, 29, 39, YG13, 45, E51, C3, 5, 7, 100, E, 33, 34, 35, B91, 95. The Yes, No, Maybe stamp was from the dollar bin at Michaels, I believe. Can’t touch Zoe’s card on the Make it Crafty site, but I’m pleased with it.

And here are my own two very special Valentines!
